Skyward merged into Verizon Robotics in 2019.I was the Senior Product Designer focussing on solving the end-to-end needs for drone pilots. Earning my Part 107 Pilot Certificate, I researched alongside users in the field and advocated for solutions that solved end-to-end user workflow. I drove alignment and influenced product strategy by socializing user journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes with cross-functional teams throughout the user-centered design process. I worked on cross-platform projects that led to increased customer lifetime revenue by 250 percent. Collaborating with product management and engineering, I helped users plan their day, execute manual and automated flights and translate media into tangible ROI for their team. We delivered a end to end solution for drone pilots, which led to some incredible partnerships with industry leaders like Disney, John Deere and UPS.

Skyward worked like a startup within Verizon Innovation group, allowing me to wear many hats across design at the pixel level, UXR, strategy and product management.My first initiative was to lead a comprehensive redesign our mobile app, transitioning from an React Native to an iOS Native app. This involved migrating approximately 20 features and systematizing with our other applications. We released the redesign on schedule and exceeded our NPS goals by 35%. Following that project, I was spearheaded the development of an Android app. This time I got some help. I hired two talented designers to achieve feature parity with our iOS app and mature our in-house design system.

Lead designer for prospect accounts earning contracts with four clients (from e-commerce to trucking companies) by researching, ideating, and presenting high-fidelity prototypes that gave non-technical companies insights to transform their business. Implemented changes to Consumer Cellular’s billing functionality and UI for web, mobile and marketing–improving satisfaction scores for payments by 30% and impacting over four million subscribers.

I was the sole designer for a virtual claims inspection tool that empowered insurance adjusters to close hail damage claims remotely. I partnered with engineering, marketing and product leadership to develop a plan that would center around user research, experimentation and iteration. After six months and several rounds of user testing, we built a tool that won a major contract with Allstate Insurance and led to a 2018 Data/Analytics Novarica Impact Award. In partnership with CX team, I created a user testing program which included a consistent schedule of testing that elevated the voice of the customer to the larger organization. My team also won our innovation sprint two years in a row.

On a team of three, we collaborated with PMs to understand high-value user research questions. I wrote our usability plan and moderated field studies with seven participants focussed on hardware and software research for the HTC RE Camera. My team surfaced over 50 issues to improve user engagement. I made interaction design recommendations for the 28 HTC selected to implement and wireframes for the other 22.
