At Koval Distillery I work in mashing a variety of grains, preparing batches to distill, and batching of spirits. I also lead a Production Standards program in ensuring product quality for production purposes.

I oversaw production based tasks including fermentation, distillation, blending of spirits, and quality assurance. Also, this entailed being in charge of bottling of all spirits and the barreling of whiskies.

For the fall 2016 semester I worked with Dr. Cairns, a mentor and professor of mine, to pursue understanding different ligand binding pathways. We experimented with the binding capabilities of different methoxy- and sulfonated organic compounds to tetrabutylammonium. This was done with the goal of having the tetrabutylammonium acting as a leaving group to.

As an Orientation Leader, I led students through the process of registering for classes, facilitated personal growth of incoming students, informed students of information regarding the Drake Arts and Sciences Department, and was an academic/peer mentor into the fall semester.
