Maintain stock records, such as inventory, material control and supply reports, responsible for identifying, ordering, stocking and issuing repair parts, clothing and general supplies utilizing the Navy Supply System, responsible for proper follow up and receipt procedures, warehouse layout and storage, and the proper operation of the Government Purchase Card Program using open market purchasing, perform duties associated with hazardous material control and management, maintain inventory databases for material stocked in shore based warehouses and shipboard storerooms, unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize and store incoming supplies, construct bins, shelving and other storage aids, organize and maintain property accounting databases, correspondence files and reports, maintain logistics, financial publications when necessary, manage and operate Military Postal System (afloat and ashore), preparing and maintaining postal records and reports, processing, dispatching, routing and transportation of mail, raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost and parts data through improved maintenance management.
