I was employed by Bookit to assist in the Financial Reporting processes of the company. In the short time I was working for Bookit, some of my accomplishments included: Managing the monthly close process creating on-time multi-company financial statements. Redesign of the payroll posting system by creating a table driven Access database which is more accurate, more versatile, and easier to use, saving the company many work hours each pay period. This database included fields for accurals making payroll account analysis, budgeting and forecasting much simpler. I created a similar database for the GL, with years of history to be used for analysis, budgeting and forecasting. I Maintained the company fixed asset depreciation schedules, correcting discrepancies throughout the company, making correcting entries, recording acquisitions, depreciation, sales, disposals etc. This included the Identification and correction of a 250K over depreciation error in fixed assets in 2017. I created a team to administer a physical audit of the companies fixed assets, correcting many issues including the depreciation of the wrong vehicle. In the vendor accounts, I corrected a 350K error in unearned revenue that had not been detected by the previous accountants or external auditors. I also researched and evaluated company leases to drastically reduce lease expense, saving the company thousands. I Developed a new Accounts Payable reconciliation system using the Smartlist on the Great Plains accounting system that allowed for multiple months to be reconciled at one time, saving the company many work hours and catching up on a years backlog.
