My responsibilities included assisting with solving technical problems and advancing QorTek’s current and future programs. Throughout my career, I have managed over $10M of contracts spanning the DoD (Air Force, Navy, MCSC, Army, MDA) and NASA. My responsibilities included assuring all technical programs are progressing within the company. In addition to this, I identified new technologies that could be brought into the company to help push the state of the art of QorTek’s programs and through this I brought in additional business relationships and contacts for QorTek. I was the Principle Investigator on numerous government contracts for the DoD and NASA worth over $3M. My most recent example was being a successful PI on a MCSC program to provide 35kV of protection for the communication warfighter resulting in a patent (SBIR Phase I/II/II Option). My duties also included writing proposals based upon QorTek’s core business as well as bringing in a new focus area involving diagnostics and health management. I designed and tested dc-dc converters systems, high power amplifiers, and performed system engineering. I consulted on modeling and design of complex control architectures for high power converters and amplifier stages. I managed all projects at QorTek and wrote research proposals.

Research methods to determine current health of mechanical and electrical systems. Developed a methodology to determine remaining health of dc-dc converters.

Teaching assistant for senior levels courses in control systems, power systems, and in electromechanical systems and control. Assisted in grading, teaching, and holding office hours for the students.
