Currentduties include: resolution of documented issues (thru their incident reporting system) occurring on their CICS / eCOBOL / DB2,/HR Systems. These issues typically involve navigational or functional problems, in these CICS/DB2/eCOBOL programs and often involve weekly meetings with departmental staff from Student Financial Services Division and HRMS staff, to gather incident details or incident specification corrections. Frequent emails between Expert Users , Operations Analysts and User Acceptance teams are used to notify completion of these incident reports and eventual promotion to production using SCLM functions. • Responsible for the Bi-monthly transmission of New Hire information by district, via FTP of HTML data generated by eCOBOL programs, to the State EDD servers and IRS servers. This process was recently streamlined/modernized, as it was mostly manual and involved copying text files, on the servers, uploaded from the mainframe, and encrypting the data onto CD, password protecting the CD and delivering the CD to SFS personnel, for mailing to Sacramento.• Responsible for the creation of the Monthly extract of employee Benefit , comma-delimited text data, from EDB tables, exporting it to EXCEL spreadsheets for balancing and summarization and distribution to HRS Benefits staff and senior Accounting staff. • Daily formatting of Fault Analyzer data into custom H.R. Fault Analyzer reports by Application System, for distribution to Applications management.• Worked on a team project to re-write and debug the HR Personnel Future transactions System. This involved debugging and re-designing COBOL/CICS/DB2 programs and associated maps and accessing new Future DB2 elements and tables. • Worked on a project to improve and update test scripts for HP’s Quick Test Pro, for certain ‘core’ CICS systems. And once completed, these QTP test scripts were moved to the Load Runner environment.
