I am a Career and Technical Educator in the areas of Natural Resource Management and Food Science at W.B. Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences in Philadelphia (the largest farm-based school in the United States). My pedagogy is grounded in hands-on, project-based STEM projects and service-learning experiences. I infuse the development of students' essential skills by rooting learned academic content into a real-world context that promotes work ethic, time management, problem-solving, research, reasoning, and communication skills ideal for post-graduation success. In 2020, I was awarded Lindback Award for Distinguished Teachers presented by the School District of Philadelphia. In 2021, six of my Class of 2021 CTE students were nominated for a Mid-Atlantic High School Long Form Emmy Award for our Saul Talk: Environmental Justice episode, one of a series of videos produced during the pandemic virtual learning experience.

Our mission is to build a viable multimedia platform designed to educate and inspire our school-age population to become model citizens and proactive leaders in their various communities (i.e. cultural, school, neighborhood, city). Our approach to the Kid Ambassadors Movement is to produce media programming, curriculums, and workshops administered by Kid Ambassadors to their peers. Provided school-age participatory learning gardening activities for students (8-13 years old) enrolled in after-school programs within their housing communities. Designed the 44th and 45th Annual NYCHA Greening & Gardening Program Award’s Ceremony stage.
