Nursing Informatics uses data to measure and improve care for patients, families, communities, and population. My current position combines informatics skills combined with Lean/Six Sigma to mangage processes of change. Data warehouse tools that provide timely, useful information to clinicians and coaching enables front line teams to make good change (Kiazen!). This leads to success in financially, customer satsifaction, and quality. I've practiced nursing at several midwest hosptials, a nurse mamanger in a large ICU, and a researcher, and special needs environments. My current work as Sr Performance Improvement Consultant is challenging and rewarding position. I continue to integrate this role with evidenced based practive to develop connections among care providers in a variety of settings.
