CurrentLead Miami University, advancing academic excellence, enhancing research competitiveness, leveraging connectedness and partnership, building community, and establishing long-term financial sustainability. Provide overarching vision to become the world’s most student-centered university, a preeminent organization unified in values, innovative in pedagogy, partnerships, and residential life, and accessible to all, through its programs, divisions, and units. Emphasize curriculum and research focused on transdisciplinary research in comprehensive areas of global engagement, business and entrepreneurship, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Oversee multiple campuses (Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown, West Chester, and Luxembourg), a budget in excess of $800 million, more than 3,500 employees, and nearly 24,000 students across all campuses. Key accomplishments:• Lead COVID-19 efforts on our campuses, from the transition to online and remote learning, to revamping campus, to normal operations. • Created and executed change-focused investment strategy, building out a $50M Boldly Creative investment fund to enhance academic excellence, create in-demand programs, and grow disciplines and transdisciplinary programs relevant to society. • Made major investment and launched new career service efforts, focused on career advising for first-years through discussion of vocation and life plans, multiple internship opportunities, certificate-based experiences instructed by professionals in industry, aligned with State of Ohio priority to attract and retain top talent and a much-needed workforce-ready graduate. • Established extensive government engagement in Ohio, nationally, and internationally around higher education, entrepreneurship, and economic development.• Lead the final stages of carbon-neutral campus plan strategy.
