My role involves analyzing and resolving professional, legal, regulatory and commercial issues relating to business acceptance and client engagement, including:professional and legal conflicts issues;business conflicts and other commercial issues;anti-money laundering client ID issues;reputational and suitability issues at the point of business acceptance;client confidentiality issues; andhandling client engagement letter queries.I also manage the day to day operations of the business acceptance team in the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring adequate team coverage to meet business requirements; development of the analyst team’s regulatory expertise and work type experience; day to day APAC team performance in terms of quality of service, fulfilment of the team's role as set out above and its speed of turnaround and the business acceptance global enquiry service.

I was a Partner with KCP, and started my legal career with the firm’s corporate and commercial department in September 2004. I handled a range of corporate and commercial matters throughout the Southeast Asia region, with a particular emphasis on investment and doing business in Vietnam. I also handled a number of matters in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Laos, amongst other SE Asian jurisdictions. My main areas of practice were mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other investments in SE Asia, assisting with corporate reorganizations and restructurings, property development, distribution agreements, management contracts, franchise agreements and sale and purchases of businesses.I was posted to and worked from KCP's Singapore, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices.
