As a member of CalSTAR I was member of a team charged with building recovery systems for high-powered rocket with an apogee of over 10,000 feet. I designed, prototyped, and managed production of autonomous stage separation system for decoupling of the two stages in the airframe of the team’s high powered rocket. I implemented modern methods of manufacturing including creating 3D models of my desing, 3D printing components, and laser cutting material. I also analyzed potential methods of failures and found methods to ensure the success and safety of stage separation. On top of everything else I also wrote through documentation on the systems, materials, and techniques used to both successfully construct and implement the stage separation system.

For this project I Organized, led, and oversaw research team that developed an AI machine learning smart attendance system. I wrote front end code in Javascript, SSL, and HTML and wrote back end code in Python. Published peer-reviewed research paper. I presented at the International Education and Technologies Conference in Harvard and won youngest presenter at Vietnam-Japan Scientific Exchange.
