Responsible for the implementation of disaster programming, from house fires to hurricanes, across Louisiana. Moved beyond service delivery as a facilitative leader across the disaster cycle, collaborating with Red Cross leadership, senior government officials at the state and local level, and other community stakeholders.As an effective operational Mass Care Manager, oversaw sheltering, feeding, and supply distribution missions. Ensured Red Cross services are available to diverse and last-mile communities regardless of race, nationality, or class.An experienced remote manager, overseeing 9 disaster program managers across the geographic breadth of the state in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport, Madisonville, Houma, Lake Charles, Alexandria, and Monroe. Deployed on emergency assignment to Red Cross disaster responses including:o Government Relations lead for Texas-based response to Hurricane Ida, August-September 2021o Regional Lead for the migrant/asylum seeker influx at the Southern Border, January 2021-May 2022o Deployed to Florida in response to Hurricane Ian as the Feeding Lead at the highest level of Red Cross activation Oct.-Nov. 2022. Supervised 50 staff, managed 38 mobile feeding routes, fed 6,600 people per day.
