Work at the state Capitol of Florida providing protection as a police officer to the Capitol grounds and providing dignitary protection to the Governor and other public figures daily. Work with protective scanning equipment and systems designed for checkpoints, cargo, vehicle, baggage, parcel, and other critical functions. OIC- (Officer In Charge) acting supervisor when supervisor is absent.

DUI Task Force Traffic Homicide. Enforce Florida state and federal statutory criminal laws. Investigate traffic crashes and criminal felony and misdemeanor offenses related to road rage, attempted murder, driving under the influence of alcohol and drug offenses. Patrol Florida roadways; provide VIP protection to state dignitaries and service to the public as needed. Select member of the Florida Highway Patrol Quick Response Team during my assignment to Venice District. Assigned to the DUI special task force covering Broward County, FL. with a population of 1.6 million people. Daily duties include traffic enforcement as a certified radar operator, traffic crash investigations, criminal activity investigations, attending state driver’s license hearing, prepare criminal cases for trial and testify in a court of law on the behalf of the state of Florida. Have testified in over 150 cases on the stand. Have been deposed in over 1000 cases. Investigate traffic homicide crashes, prepare and testify in a court of law on criminal cases. Received monthly recognition for high enforcement activity that has proven to reduce the number of traffic crashes and deaths in the Dade, Broward and Palm Beach tri-county area. While assigned to Venice District with the Quick Response Team I responded to Miami for riot control to quell the Elian Gonzales incident.

Air Defense Artillery. Lieutenant / Sergeant Florida National Guard from August 1988 to June 1991. Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant and Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in June 1991. Placed on Inactive Reserve till Honorably Discharged in February 2002. Instructed and Lead Personnel in the field of Air Defense Artillery.

Chief / Assistant Chief / Firefighter. Volunteer Fire Chief / Assistant Fire Chief; Volunteer Fire Chief for a 25-person volunteer fire fighting organization. Provided leadership, guidance and training for the firefighters in West Dunkirk, N.Y. Provided first responder medical treatment and firefighting services to a 20-square mile area with a two-engine crew. Actively involved in firefighting awareness projects supported by the local community

Owner / Manager; Managed and operated a family owned clothes cleaning, carpet service and textile business that employed 18 personnel. Serviced and maintained $500,000 worth of equipment and worked within an annual operating budget of $450,000. Maintained an annual profit margin of grater than 12 per cent.
