• Observed hydrogen in the universe by designing, constructing and maintaining a flexible mounting system for a 12-foot-wide radio telescope capable of seeing the 1440 MHz line.
• Determined that the receiver used for data collection behaved in a temperature dependent manner by collecting temperature data simultaneously with hydrogen data.
• Conducted sky scans with the telescope, identifying Milky Way, the sun and other bright hydrogen sources in the universe
