Business Systems Analyst IV (February 2009 – August 2011)• Part of a team of senior analysts tasked with developing a browser based application to support the order intake and fulfillment process of the 400 plus Rotech durable medical equipment locations throughout the United States.- The intake process required functionality to allow location Customer Service Representatives to enter and maintain patient information (demographics; insurance; etc.) and perform order fulfillment from: receiving the physician prescription; verifying insurance eligibility; satisfying payer authorizations and documentation requirements; collecting insurance deductibles and co-insurance; scheduling and manifesting delivery tickets; product delivery/maintenance/resupply; service confirmation and transmission of order transactions to the billing system for claim creation.- Worked with the operational business units to develop functional requirements.- Created technical specifications which included relational database designs; user interface designs; edits and data validation; worked closely with the development team throughout the development cycle, unit testing, and completion of QA testing.- Created UAT scripts; coordinating with the business units and facilitating user testing until acceptance sign-off.• Sole analyst responsible for the design and deployment of a work queue system used to process patient claims incurred from the rental and sales of durable medical equipment.- This work queue system vastly increased the visibility of open claims not yet remitted to the payer; denied by the payer; being held from remittance due to inaccurate insurance or incomplete filing requirements. Users were able to complete the required claim elements within a queue and progress the claim from queue to queue until the claim could be electronically submitted to the payer.
