My sales and construction education began at a young age. I grew up with a family who runs a successful rock crusher manufacturing company. As a teenager I was in the assembly crew helping to put together conveyors and cone crushers. I watched my dad and uncles talk and deal with countless contractors, mine operators, and owners of huge construction companies. I learned at very young age that one of the keys to sales is the relationship between the buyer and the salesman. I graduated High School and went to college at Southern Virginia University for a year and then went on to serve a two year church mission in Denver CO. That experience once again showed me that the relationship that is developed between you and who you are talking to is the most important aspect of sales.When I returned home I went to Dixie State University and was able to walk on to the Basketball Program there. I redshirted that year and then decided not to continue to play and went to work for Intermountain Concrete Specialties. I started In the St. George location as a delivery driver and rebar fabricator. As I gained more experience with the products I went into inside sales. After 5 years in St. George a store manager position opened up in our Orem branch and I accepted the job. The year I started at the Orem branch we were small, and we were missing sales goals. We had 2 full time employees and two part time warehouse workers. Since we have more than doubled our sales, made and surpassed our yearly sales goals and have 4 full time employees and 2 part time guys. This happened through the Pandemic, staffing shortages, supply difficulties and moving the store to a new building. I am not solely responsible for that growth as we have developed a great team here that has set high goals for ourselves. Our team mentality has made our growth possible as well as support from our leaders at the corporate level.
