Mauritius:My main duties are to analyse credit requests of simple to complex nature, set up the debt facilities in relevant IT systems, and then propose solutions to relationship resources, whilst ensuring compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and guidelines.Results:1. Provide high quality and timely service to relationship resources of the Bank in view of achieving high customer service standards.2. Prepare, analyse, initiate and follow up credit requests of simple to complex nature by looking at customer’s financial risk profile, repayment capability and industry outlook. Provide recommendations, including pricing to relationship resources of the Bank, in a timely manner.3. Assist relationship resources of the Bank in finding out the most appropriate solutions to customers' needs by providing credit analysis services of the highest standards while complying with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations, procedures and standards of best working practice in relation to lending in order to minimise financial loss.Australia:My Internship at BHP, in the department called Portfolio Strategy and Development (PS&D): My role mainly involves screening, analysing, selecting, and reporting the appropriate data from different sources, such as annual reports, analysts’ presentations, and S&P 500 website. I usually rely on Excel and Spotfire TIBCO for preparing adequate dashboards for presentation and reporting purposes.My Spotfire TIBCO dashboards are interactive. For example, one of my dashboards was designed as the world’s map exhibiting BHP’s assets location and main competitors. It also highlighted the main transportations roads and harbours worldwide. Other dashboards were designed for financial reporting, e.g. production, commodity prices, key performance ratios, etc.I had the opportunity to present some of the above dashboards to the Principal – Portfolio Strategy.
