Initially part of the CDS Index desk but went on to establish a Financial CDS desk, with market reputation for forward thinking and creating value-add for clients; breaking up long-established two-company hold on Financial CDS market. Sadly ICE closed the entire European voice broking business Sept 2016.

Formulated new balance sheet optimisation tool for cash bonds while in previous voice broking role. Established and maintained key client relationships in sell-side electronic trading space. Identified opportunity, defined the business case and financial model, gained C-Suite buy-in and secured internal funding to bring it to market.Run as an Agile project working with Risk, Compliance, UX teams, internal and external development teams and vendors. The product became a key product of firm’s e-commerce department and has been utilised in both Sell Side (Scrapbook) and Buy Side (Cross Trade) as two product variations and received FCA sign-off.Additionally, selected by Global Broking CEO as part of tactical team of five to generate electronic session-based revenue ideas across all product areas.

Contributed significantly to revenue generation with consistent Top 4 performance on a twenty person desk for over ten years; broking Financial, Sovereign, Corporate Investment grade and High-yield single name CDS and CDS Index and Options, adding value with consistent execution of orders and always considering both micro and macro factors to provide colour, views and feedback to clients.Helped Establish CDS Index & Options desk as a key liquidity provider and revenue generator; built up desk from inception in 2008 and ensured competitive position over six years.Facilitated launch of 1st electronic user-driven trading platform by major inter-dealer broker in CDS market; providing the business requirements for the systems introduction. Developed and promoted new talent and mentored new joiners on ICAP graduate training program; enabled trainees’ progress and success in a demanding and fast-paced results-driven environment.

Helped establish a highly successful CDS broking desk by being primary liquidity provider and revenue generator for its duration. Co-developed desk strategy with a focus on Financial and Emerging Market CDS, ensuring a consistent level of service, strong execution and comprehensive market intelligence.

Senior Risk Manager establishing a Risk Management Framework for the Credit desk, responsible for formulation and adherence of Risk governance model, risk reporting and operational risk control oversight.- Built up technically advanced market and operational risk structure, including models, stress tests and procedures; applied strong product knowledge of corporate bonds, repos, credit default swaps, CDOs and first to default baskets.- Provided guidance for trade execution from operational and market risk management perspective; delivered technical input to enable live CDS product pricing and trading incorporating algorithmic price maintenance on > 1,000 entities.

Asset Swaps:Responsible for daily Asset Swap Desk P&L and risk figures, pricing all interest rate swap and bond package trades manually to ensure system accuracy. Integration of the Summit platform providing business feedback to development teams to ensure product improvement.

Interest Rate Products: Produced accurate daily market risk reporting, working with desk heads on interest rate swaps, FRAs and interest rate futures additionally providing technical input to improving the Risk Framework and platforms.

Developed valuable insights in IT as Business Analyst working in Risk Management and Treasury markets.
