When I was growing up my parents would never get me a dog. My dad wanted his backyard pristine, my mom liked her home in good order, and I was always left dog-less. I begged my parents for years to let me get a dog until one day, when I was 11, I caught them in a moment of weakness. My dad told me that if I walked the mile loop around our neighborhood three times a day for three months to prove that I would walk a dog, they would let me get one. Thinking that I would never accomplish such a task, my parents were confident their home would remain in perfect order. Three months later, however, I brought home a new puppy as I had walked the three miles each day for three months to earn that dog.This story is more than just a tale about a boy and his dog, but a representation of how I have managed my education and professional career. My greatest strength is the desire that I have to diligently work at difficult and, sometimes, seemingly impossible tasks. I receive fulfillment from working hard and stick to tasks until they are done, and done right. I am self motivated and actively look for ways to accomplish my goals, whether they be in school, work, or my own personal life.
