Current• Utilities: Represent Investor Owned Water Utilities (IOUs) and Water Supply Corporations (WSCs) in central Texas with the sale, transfer, and merger of utility service areas (STMs), TCEQ and PUCT permitting, easement and real property acquisitions, service area and landowner dispute resolutions, eminent domain proceedings, utility rate cases, wastewater treatment operations and discharge permits.• Landowners: Assist landowners and utilities in the sale and purchase of real property… Show more • Utilities: Represent Investor Owned Water Utilities (IOUs) and Water Supply Corporations (WSCs) in central Texas with the sale, transfer, and merger of utility service areas (STMs), TCEQ and PUCT permitting, easement and real property acquisitions, service area and landowner dispute resolutions, eminent domain proceedings, utility rate cases, wastewater treatment operations and discharge permits.• Landowners: Assist landowners and utilities in the sale and purchase of real property and easements, the acquisition of utility right-of-ways by eminent domain, subdivision development, land use development issues (e.g. erosion control, pollution remediation, boundary disputes, groundwater, and riparian rights), foreclosure proceedings, condemnations (floodplain and pipelines), and TCEQ enforcement proceedings.• Oil and Gas: Work with Texas oil and gas operators and landowners in a wide array of legal matters, including the acquisition and defense of saltwater disposal well permit applications before the RRC hearing division, drilling permit applications, stationary fluid recycling facility permit applications, land application permits, waste hauler permit application, pipeline right-of-way acquisitions, the release of real property liens, royalty disputes, and the review and drafting of oil and gas leases, production sharing agreements, mineral interest assignments, operating agreements, and surface use agreements (caliche, water, roads, electric, etc.).• Water Rights: Work with landowner clients to purchase, sell or transfer existing water right permits (Certificates of Adjudication) and amend their designated uses, irrigation acreage, and diversion points; including the reactivation of water right diversion accounts suspend by Texas watermasters. Have handled the sale and transfer of Certificates of Adjudication in the Rio Grande Watershed and Cibolo Creek Watershed. Show less
