Novira Therapeutics Inc. is focused on the discovery and development of first-in-class therapies for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection, a global disease with a high level of unmet medical need.Novira Therapeutics was acquired for an undisclosed amount by Johnson & Johnson in December 2015 and is now part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Contracting, including timelines and budget, for discovery, pre‐clinical and CMC activities.• Budgeting, financial reporting, accruals, payables and support for financial audits.• Set-up of IT infrastructure and re‐design of corporate website.• Management of pre‐clinical vendors in support of lead and back‐up asset development, including conduct and reporting of all IND‐enabling studies. • Management of CMC vendors for drug substance development and manufacture, drug product manufacture and clinical supply to support IND‐enabling preclinical studies and Phase 1/2 clinical studies.• Co-authorship responsibilities for IND and Investigator’s Brochure.• Primary point‐of‐contact for external scientific diligence and co‐responsibility for external corporate / financial diligence.
