I am currently a full-time C++ developer at Presage Technologies, concerned with native code doing computer vision and other adjacent tasks. Before this, I achieved PhD candidacy (not a full doctorate) at the Computer Science Department at University of Maryland, College Park, working on real-time 3D reconstruction of dynamic scenes.I have experience in both research and software engineering. I regard coding and software design as an art. My key skills are making unusual connections yielding innovative ideas, resourcefulness, and quickly learning new material/acquiring new skills (including unfamiliar software APIs). I am passionate about my work, sometimes to the point of stubborn persistence. My design and visual arts experience (the BA degree in graphic design, 3D modelling / animation) contributes to my presentation and communication skills (as well as things like 3D printing and computer vision research). I like to work with my hands and build things.I work best in the mornings and prefer to keep evenings free for playing classical guitar, painting, 3D graphics, reading, and social events.
