I have spent the past ten years in trade association membership relations, including as a membership database administrator, and am ready to progress to the next level, including opportunities in membership marketing. I try to continually improve my skillset throughout my career; this summer I completed the ASAE Membership Management Certification Program. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for membership renewals, retention, and acquisitions, as well as administrating multiple membership databases. In addition to my primary duties, I continued to increase my responsibilities by serving as administrator of an online academy and as assistant editor for an association’s newspaper. I also represented multiple trade associations during their annual conventions. I always strive to provide the best possible service to members. Whether that’s helping them register for events, updating their information, or processing their product orders, customer satisfaction is paramount. As Member Services Coordinator, customer service was my main priority and it was rewarded with over 85% renewal rates year after year. Also, as Membership Database administrator, problem solving was most of my job. Issues requiring my attention include implementing group registrations for the Meeting department, and helping Accounting make their monthly billings more efficient. I am always available to help my coworkers, so that as a team we can provide the best service to our members. I have a BA in Marketing from the University of Missouri. Also, I increased my skill set by independently taking courses in website design in 2009.
