In this role I oversaw the creation of construction documents for concrete, structural, steel, civil-site, 3D models, clash detection, and truck turning radiuses; coordinate all aspects of projects using other disciplines. I coordinated project budgets and schedules in excess of $500,000. I managed teams of up to 7 drafters and designers, reporting directly to the Structural/Civil Manager on team’s performance; oversaw recruitment, hiring, and training for all personnel, mentored, and provided feedback to employees. Selected Projects & Accomplishments:• Supervised the Gainesville Renewable Energy Center 100 MW Biomass Plant Project with a $500,000 budget. Provided structural design and drafting oversight for the design of a waste wood-to-energy biomass facility. Managed all aspects of plant design. Oversaw site drainage, structural design of a pipe support rack and other miscellaneous structures, and design and layout of over 50 unique foundations. Finished the project $100,000 under budget, well within scheduling parameters. • Recipient of the Zachry Significant Contributor award in 2014. • Developed a recruitment program that targeted graduates of a 2-year degree program and at career fairs.

In this position I designed steel structures for industrial and power facilities, as well as concrete projects, including the design of spread footings, tank foundations, underground containment structures, pile caps, drilled piers, and slabs-on-grade. I oversaw a team of several drafters, serving as lead on several simultaneous projects. Responsible of selecting the proper anchorages for mechanical equipment, tanks, and prefabricated buildings. I am adept at working from rough sketches and concepts created by other personnel to creating both 2D and 3D models of sites, including concrete foundations and multi-level steel pipe racks. I made changes required based on any modification to the plans, identifying all other aspects of the job impacted by this change. I ensured all jobs were compliant to OSHA steel codes, especially in regards to stairs, ladders, handrails, etc.; was member of the safety committee. Responsible for conducting field inspections of both new and existing structures and reviewing time and cost estimates and schedule and provided adjustments as needed. Selected Projects & Accomplishments:•Lead Civil/Structural Designer for the $37M Rochester Public Utilities Silver Lake Power Plant Unit 4 Emission Reduction Project. Oversaw the installation of a scrubber and lime preparation system to control SO2; a fabric filter building to collect and reduce particulate emissions; a boiler over fire air & urea injection system to control NOx; associated ductwork and booster fan for flue gas routing; a new ash handling, storage, and unloading system; installation of a power distribution center for systems power and operational control; and replacement of the boiler bottom ash hopper. Managed all site development, grading and erosion control drawings, structural design, and design and layout of foundations for the BOP equipment and buildings. Completing project under budget and on schedule. •Awarded the Zachry Above & Beyond Contributor award in 2007 & 2008.
