Responsibilities: Stayed updated on and understood issues of importance for science and technology policy; lobbied Congress about relevant policy issues, especially concerning physics; developed strategy and messaging for lobbying activities; recruited and built a community of physicist advocates including faculty, students, and those in other sectors; managed all grassroots advocacy campaigns; provided online and in-person coaching and development for scientists and students to successfully advocate to Congressional offices; organized and coordinated Congressional Visits Days for physicists; managed interns; created and presented talks at conferences and universities; created, produced, and hosted a monthly video newsletter to inform scientists about policy issues and advocacy activities (see YouTube link); created and managed an interactive website for physics advocacy and monitoring associated metrics.

Secondary project: assist with the proposal review process for certain NSF Physics Programs.Also: Founder and co-chair of the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship Affinity Group "STArt" (Science, Technology, & Art), which explores the connections between science and art.
