I am the co-founder and Owner of BioGenomics, an innovative consultancy specialized in strategic product development and services for human, animal and plant genomics. Current activities focus on genetic marker development, molecular tracing of food products and the design & execution of genomic projects using high-end sequencing and genotyping technology. I focus on the development of novel molecular/genomic/bioinformatics tools for non-invasive healthcare, improved breeding genomics, food molecular traceability and sustainable exploitation of marine resources (precision aquaculture and bioprospecting).

As an innovation and valorisation manager, my main mission is to initiate, develop and support the valorisation strategy around Whole Genome Diagnostic Sequencing, Single-Cell (DNA/RNA) and Liquid Biopsy genomics technologies at the Department of Human Genetics at the KU Leuven. I also leverage other innovation action in the sustainable food production and blue economy space.My main responsibilities are:• Managing the valorisation of the Health genomics, Single-Cell and Liquid Biopsy patent portfolio, spin-off creation plans and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) know-how using various platforms (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore, 10x Genomics, Resolve, VizGen).
