Managed Google Cloud (GCP) and Codefresh infrastructure with TerraformReduced CI/CD spend by 14% by reducing run times, rightsizing runners, and lowering the number of unneeded runs.Built and maintained internal CLI tool to allow developers to manage common operational tasks on Kubernetes and GCP in a secure manner. Supported 150+ applications written by the mulesoft integration team. Improved developer efficiency through automation scripts, deployment pipeline steps and maven plugins, allowing developers to deploy applications to production quicker and with fewer defects. Implemented functional testing and property updates without full deployments. Improved observability standards by leading a project to implement a standard health check and automated creation of scheduled uptime checks to all mulesoft applications. Planned, implemented and integrated a number of tools to assist in our goal of monitoring and automation as it affects customers; such as Synthetic Browser monitoring, Chaos Engineering toolset, and event correlation tooling. Implemented the CI/CD pipeline for our operational intelligence platform.Assisted in implementation of CI pipelines for our configuration management and Infrastructure as code. Implemented Terraform modules to move our hand built infrastructure into reproducible infrastructure as code. Managed internal repository mirrors to minimize dependency on third parties. Deployed and managed infrastructure outside of our microservice ecosystem which included Bitbucket, Chef Server, and miscellaneous parts of our web application.

Assisted in modernizing the infrastructure which included upgrading the main operating system from Centos5.3 to Centos6.3 and Ubuntu 14.04, migrating from Apache to Nginx, setting up modern services, such as Zookeeper and Kafka, to assist in migrating to AWS, and creating a disaster recovery site. Managed and scaled monitoring systems including Nagios, Icinga, Ganglia, Graphite, Logstash, and Kibana. Used Chef and related tools to orchestrate server creation and management.

Maintain server infrastructure consisting over 2000 servers. Day to day work includes solving issues with broken servers, implementing new tools, and working with my team to improve the stability of our infrastructure over all.

Meebo was a web based instant messenger company, as well as an ad network.I worked as an all around Server Operations Engineer. I made sure our services were up within our SLA. I focused mainly on the MySQL and Hadoop infrastructure while at Meebo, as well as general experience with our web services. We used puppet as a method for us to automate our system builds.
