Senior Network Engineer
Current• Active in planning and implementing network systems for Bunzl corporate and remote facilities, including but not limited to: routers, switches, VOIP phones, firewalls, and wireless technologies. • Active in managing installation and procurement of network circuits for new and existing sites. • Active in the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of deployed network systems, including core equipment and approximately 100 remote sites.• Assist Bunzl Security with day to day configuration and maintenance core and edge firewalls including policy enforcement and VPN configuration.• Participates in a 24/7 on call rotation for both Network Security and Network Communications.• Assist project management with the development of project roadmaps including the definition of project milestones and task.• Acting as the lead for deployed wireless technologies including but not limited to wireless controllers, access points, and clients. Proficient in performing wireless site analysis, spectrum analysis, and predictive analysis, leading to strong understanding of deployed RF footprints within the 2.4 and 5 Ghz Frequencies. • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) within Bunzl operations department for design of systems related to AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) for Bunzl logistics and warehousing. This includes the management of over 1000 clients deployed across the US, Canada and New Mexico using MDM.• Participate in DRS (Disaster Recovery Site) planning, maintenance, and actual testing.• Provide guidance, leadership, and help mentor when appropriate
