Studying about contracts between musicians and managers, musicians and record labels and looking at creative ways to market and promote themselves as artists and businesses.- During practical objectives, I took responsibility as project manager. Tasked with the aim to set-up and promote a live music night for the course musicians. Demonstrating organisational and communication skills, I had to locate venues within central Manchester on a budget and continuously liaise with the venue promoter, project financer and the musicians. - I delegated tasks between the rest of the business team during our promoting campaign such as handing out leaflets and setting up social media sites. After liaising with a graphic designer and using negotiating skills, I arranged for him to create images that included the night’s name (Boadicea Live) to be used for the background visual for the performance stage. - During the live performances it was my responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the shows and to ensure the musicians knew when to start and finish their set. Using my attention to detail, I made sure the stage continued to look presentable throughout the shows.
