Known for his documentary-style work that combines raw emotion with playful charm, Gregory Mitnick has played a significant role in shaping how brands engage with audiences on a human level. Previously half of directing-duo Peking, Gregory has crafted narratives for major brands including Apple, Google, and Disney, as well as emerging companies like Boppy, Texas-based Favor, and video game developer Supercell.Mitnick holds an MFA in Film Production from NYU and has directed over 100 short-form documentaries for platforms such as Coolhunting.com, The New York Times, and The Atlantic, laying the foundation for his commercial filmmaking career. His work includes the Skype film Born Friends, which earned a Silver Cannes Lions and was featured in Time Magazine’s top five commercials of the year. Mitnick's versatility is evident in recent campaigns for Care.com (Hubbub), the Amazon/Illumination film Sky’s the Limit, and Favor’s latest project Texpat Rescue Mission (Preacher).In addition to his work in traditional advertising, Mitnick has contributed to political and social campaigns, including the Cannes Lions-shortlisted Doritos No Choice spot and the Wake Up And Vote ad for the Biden/Harris campaign. His recent long-form films include A Day at the Speedway (2023) and 10 Dollar Toilet Seat (2024), which began its festival run at the 42nd Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival.
