I worked as a Process Engineer at GAF's glass mat facility in Chester. I undertook extensive investigations of bottlenecking in industrial ovens. My VBA skills allowed automation of critical mill functions, including production scheduling. As part of a team, I played an important role in setting product-specific production standards.

I was employed at WestRock's Fernandina Beach unbleached linerboard facility. While there, I worked in the Paper Machines, Technical, and Process Controls Department. I developed a tool to identify sources of dangerous compounds, and worked very closely with LOTO procedures. I also developed my own skills at data visualization and collection, particularly in OSISoft's PI suite, and used those skills to interface daily management initiatives between corporate and mill personnel. My Process Controls experience included implementing specialized controls strategy for potentially dangerous events, training and practical use of control loop tuning, and gaining background in DCS controls.
