I have over 25 years experience in the manufacturing/production sector working with a Labor Union producing Edible Collagen Sausage Casings using the extrusion process. I have always been a “Hands on” Supervisor- sitting at a desk just isn’t me. I have worked on a rotating Shift Schedule (7 on/2 off-8 hour days) and also a (4 on/ 4 off) 12 hour Shift schedule. I started out as a union wage production operator/trainer then was promoted into a Salaried Supervisor/Trainer in a Union Environment. As a Supervisor/Trainer I was able to train and mentor each production Operator in order to increase Productivity and Efficiency while reducing Quality defects. I’ve also held various Managerial Positions at increasing responsibility during my career. I feel that one of the key factors in manufacturing a Quality product are the Production workers. They are the ones that work with the Product every day and know when something isn’t quite right, allowing us to make adjustments or perform preventive Maintenance before there are Quality issues with the Product. This is why the wage force should be mentored, continually trained and be valued as a important member of our workforce. Over my work history I have been the plant “Troubleshooter” and was asked to look into Production issues that weren’t easily solved, investigate for a root cause and get the proper people involved to resolve the issue. I have always been involved in training and mentoring through my wage/salary career. I am familiar with an ISO environment, Lean Manufacturing, GMP’s, Continuous improvement, SOP’s, ☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲Specialties: Process Improvement, System Improvement, Production Processes, Production Line Management, ISO 9001 Certification, Cost Containment, Staff Training, Food Processing Industry
