• Lead a team of twelve (12) professionals responsible for all aspects of Service Company Accounting, Compliance and Reporting.• Liaise with various stakeholders (Regulatory, Tax, FP&A, FBPs, etc.) on all Service Company related matters.• Ensure expenses are compliant with the Cost Allocation Manual - Cost Allocation Compliance Program consisting of four modules (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Journal Entries and Employee Expenses) • Oversee the annual cost allocation rate update process ensuring accuracy and clear communication of impacts at the Operating Company level.• Provide analysis on an ad hoc basis for various initiatives throughout the business (ex. sale of Rhode Island business).• Manage preparation of the annual FERC Form 60 Reports• Oversee month-end closing process, including review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.• Manage the financial compliance relationship with auditors and regulators to ensure National Grid operates in line with regulatory requirements.• Maintain allocation process for labor overhead costs in excess of $2 billion that is supportable and transparent to the regulatory authorities.• Review and challenge existing policies and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and drive best value for the business.• Perform analytical review over key income statement and balance sheet accounts.• Conduct the annual A&G study analyzing the nature of work performed by over 500 cost centers to ensure proper capitalization.

• Oversee and manage the production of quarterly and annual financial statements for twenty companies provided to creditors, banking partners, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) and various state regulatory commissions. • Perform quality control reviews of said financial statements, including all aspects of the underlying mapping files and footnote support. • Coordinate with external groups (Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory, Derivatives, Pension, Decision Support, Plant Accounting, etc.) for the timely flow of information required for preparation of and disclosure in said financial statements.• Liaise with external auditors in connection with annual financial statements that are subject to audit. • Assess the impact of accounting errors, both unrecorded and recorded out-of-period, in both qualitative and quantitative terms as to the periods involved and the potential need for restatement (SAB 99).• Maintain a high degree of knowledge of all current IFRS, GAAP and SEC regulations and requirements and ensure that new accounting pronouncements are implemented effectively. • Oversee and manage various aspects of 144A debt filings, including management’s discussion and analysis (MD&A) • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of company processes and procedures and provide recommendations for business improvements. • Conduct accounting research and conclude on the Company’s accounting treatment on a variety of issues under both GAAP and IFRS including but not limited to: ASC 980 Regulated Operations; FAS 167 Variable Interest Entities; ASC 205 Discontinued Operations; ASC 350 Goodwill Impairment; IFRIC 18 Transfers of Assets from Customers; IAS 20 Accounting for Government Grants and Disclosure of Government Assistance; ASC 605 Revenue Recognition.• Perform and/or manage various ad-hoc projects and procedures as necessary.
