Served as lead consultant and team member responsible for digital materials given to and managed by the Library’s Digital Manuscript Program through collaborative establishment of guidelines, standards, and workflow processes.Designed and managed collections through established metadata schema and controlled vocabularies.Worked collaboratively to establish program guidelines, standards, policies, and workflow processes.Facilitated work of client staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers to create 40 online exhibits as part of the program’s Profiles in Science project that highlighted the accomplishments of historic and present-day, renowned figures in the field of biomedical research and public health policy.Supervised scanning and project workflows that resulted in creation of over 12,000 metadata records.Implemented sound system of quality control/quality assurance checks on over 13,000 records and 62,000 images.Served as member of library’s Web Collecting and Archiving Working Group dedicated to continue capture and preservation of health/medicine-related websites for researchers.Recognized for exemplar skill in development, preservation, and management of digital collections from former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop.
