Drawing on over 20 years of experience as a retired Coast Guard senior officer, Marine combat veteran, and volunteer with youth and vulnerable populations, I am pursuing a second career in Social Work. I have helped more than 400 people set and attain personal and professional goals, initiated the award of college credit to ten people for their training and experience, and served as a thesis committee member for five master’s candidates. I also served adults and youth, including assisting homeless people, visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes, and leading youth of all ages in Girl and Boy Scout programs. I am particularly passionate about using my own experiences to help fellow veterans.
