Quick bio you say? Well, let's see. Army brat (seven States and Germany), University - Ohio State then the KUL for education. Then Twenty odd years building web sites/applications. Now, after a good deal of coaching and investment in equipment, we're going to do voice over work. Okay, that's the formal stuff. Let's have a look at the informal stuff.True story, as a young man at university I took a freshman English class on folklore, so collecting and archiving stories - with academic interpretation. In hindsight I think that that may have been the class I enjoyed the most at school and I sort of regret not pursuing that academic line.I think that it would have been fun and would have fit me to a tee but youth... Still, upon reflection I think that that was a telling moment, because that story telling and collecting business is something that I genuinely love.And I have a few of them. Here's one: Some friends and I decide to take a summer cycling tour in England, Scotland and environs. Now Scotland is a glorious country, but the weather can be a bit... harsh. Later in the tour someone has this wild idea, "Let's go to the Outer Hebrides!". Look that up on a map, that's adventurous. On bicycles, sleeping in tents. We get off the ferry at midnight, camp in a wet peat bog, then rise to cycle onward. Only to be met with a stiff head wind and sleet, pretty much flying directly in our faces. In August. Completely true and while inadvisable I can say that I have certainly been to the Outer Hebrides. So I have that going for me ;)Of course I've also been to places where it didn't sleet in August. Mont Saint-Michel and the Alhambra are both very cool, and I could tell a story or two about my visits to them.But that can wait for another time. The thing about stories though is that there's always a new one just around the next corner, and I'm hoping that I can collect and tell a few more good ones in the coming years.
