Responsible for the installation, maintenance and upgrade automation of multiple Kubernetes (K8s) clusters on Amazon Web Services (AWS) / EKS. Utilization of Concourse CI/CD to automate upgrades and promote updates from test environments through dev, stage and production.Work closely with product teams to establish both shared multi-tenant and customized dedicated EKS clusters. Field customer requests for new namespaces, resource requests (RDS, S3, etc.), and new capabilities / installation of new shared cluster components.Extensive use of automation for the following:- Upgrade of EKS, AMI, cluster add-ons and installed components (cert-manager, cluster-autoscaler, external-dns, nginx-ingress-controler, etc.) in test cluster as new versions become available.- Promotion of EKS, AMI and installed component versions on a pre-defined schedule to dev, stage and production clusters.- Automated MRs for new namespace requests- Notification automation for new namespaces, resource request (RDS, S3, Elasticache, etc), and upgrades. Notifications are sent via email and posted to Teams / Slack channels.
