Installation Technician
• Stopping at SAI Box (Copper) or PFP (Splitter) to run jumper for customer services from VRAD Out or Splitter to correct Bonding Post or APN • Checking for sync at terminal (Copper) or Checking for light at CFST or FST (Fiber) • Running drop from terminal/CFST to customer house using J hooks, drop clamps, "ram horns" and clip screws • Ensure that drop is safely secured to customer house and route it to designated entry point • Safely Drill through wall to bring drop into customer house • Install AB Jacks, for copper jobs, and ONTs, for fiber jobs, making proper connections to bring in customer services Test sync to ensure customer signal will not be interrupted through copper drop, terminal, pairs going to SAI Box, or the ports themselves at SAI Box • Test for light to ensure that customer signal will not be interrupted through fiber drop, CFST/FST, or strands going back to PFP, or the splitters themselves at PFP. • Install the correct RG (Residential Gateway) depending on customer services, house wiring, and house design • Activating ONTs on fiber jobs and ensuring all fiber tips are clean and light levels are between -14 dBm and -24 dBm at ONTs • Once RGs are up and running, Test internet connection, U-Verse Tv services, and Phone lines • Run Wi-Fi Maps to make sure Wi-Fi is spread out evenly throughout the house, Install extenders if needed • If any problems are encountered, the right people are notified and proper tickets are made to get problem taken care of • Educating customer on all their services • Run all LSBBT tests, such as Quality Check, Speed Tests, Real-Time Performance Checks, to ensure customer services are running at an exceptional rate Repair jobs
