As a student at Skidmore College, I have strived to expand my breadth of education as much as I can. I have chased interests in Economics, International Affairs, and Mathematics. Classes in all three disciplines have allowed me to develop my abilities in quantitative reasoning, literature reviewing, statistical analysis, and academic and creative writing. My schooling has also allowed me to develop proficiency in Python, and programs like Microsoft Excel, Stata, MatLab, and LaTeX. I have four years of experience in the food service industry, strengthening my fluency in interacting with customers and clients. More recently, I worked with a Sales Planning team at Mazzone Hospitality, which gave me valuable experience working one-on-one with clients, and helped me improve my digital communication skills. I have also used my time at Skidmore to expand my leadership and community service experience. As a Resident Assistant for my dorm floor, I helped my majority-Freshmen residents secure themselves in their new home-away-from-home during the 2020-2021 semester when COVID-19 created a challenging and isolating environment for students around the country. I served as Treasurer and President of Skidmore's Alpine Ski Team, and in my penultimate semester of college, I became a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician. Now I serve the Queensbury, NY community as a volunteer EMT, which has given me unparalleled experience in teamwork and decision-making in the emergent environment. I place great value in learning new skills and gaining new abilities. I believe in the strength of diverse perspectives in the problem-solving process and excel as a member of a team.
