At XG Communities (formerly 5 Bars), I consulted with our partner cities to prepare for small cell densification and 5G technology. My primary responsibilities was to work with City staff and carrier contacts to develop small cell deployment requirements, application processing, and permitting standards for cities and municipalities across the United States. I proudly co-authored and edited wireless ordinances, modernizing cities’ rules to create predictable design standards and administrative review processes for small cell deployments. In this capacity, I interfaced on behalf of cities directly with small cell deployment teams for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile to diagnose issues and bring solutions to city staff.

Some of my primary responsibilities included reporting crimes in progress, assisting in emergency situations, and detecting safety hazards. I also provided personal safety escorts on campus and in the Isla Vista community. As a lead officer, I oversaw and managed teams of CSOs during nighttime patrols and large-scale activities on campus such as concerts and sporting events.
