Clinical pharmacist for federal disaster team. Have deployed multiple times with DMAT team. First time to Haiti right after earthquake in 2010, was assigned to 82nd Airborne regimental headquarters in Peytionville, furthest base in Haiti. Participated in strike teams embedded with 82nd Airborne patrols to find unattended wounded in Port au Prince. Our team saw more than twice the number of patients than all other DMAT teams in Haiti combined. Second deployment was to Hurricane Sandy, DMAT FL-6 was first team into NYC after storm passed. Performed at sites in Manhattan, Nassau county and New Jersey. Was member of first MAC-ST team deployment during 2012 State of the Union Address in Washington D.C. Deployed for 2016 State of Union Address as LRAT. 2017 Deployed to Texas in Hurricane Harvey Response. Sept. 2017 Deployed to Caguas Puerto Rico where team supported hospital HIMA San Pablo. 350 bed hospital with 430 pts when we arrived, we took critical ICU pts to decrease load on hospital. Did emergency critical care pharmacy, made IV's, consulted with hospital pharmacy staff on dosing and regimens. Presented to hospital MD's and medical interns on disaster medication and DMATs functionality. Helped decompress ER from 2 day wait to 2 hr wait to see practitioners. Sole pharmacist with team that was working 24/7. Deployed Hawaii for Hurricane Lane response August 2018. Deployed to Travis AFB 02/2020 to care for first Covid patients among the Diamond Princess evacuees. Provided medical backup for Rep John Lewis memorial 07/2020. Responded to lake Chales, LA after Hurricane Laura. 09/2020. Deployed to Johnson City, TN to help set up Covid vaccine sites at both Johnson City Medical Center and Franklin Woods hospital. Sites agve 11,000 vaccines in 2 weeks. Deployed with Central Florida Disaster medical Coalition February-June 2021, dispensed over 500,000 vaccines to regions 6 & 7 in S. Florida.

Successfully managed multiple pharmacies including two 24 hour pharmacies that had multimillion dollar sales. Responsible for all aspects of pharmacy and business operations. Continually exceeded all metrics assigned. Managed staff of pharmacists and technicians, administered injections, consulted patients on MTM's, interfaced with physicians and hospitals to maximize therapeutic outcomes for patients. Preceptor for both pharmacy interns (Pacific University and University of Florida) and pharmacy technician interns (Evergreen University). Worked internationally(In Japan with Nippon Suisan and stationed in the Bering Sea) and domestically with various Japanese fishery companies. Took meteorological, biological and navigation data (On Japanese Tuna Longliners in the US FCZ). Helped develop the first turtle excluder trawl for use by US shrimpers.. Wrote English/Japanese translation for use by NMFS fisheries personnel.
