The EPUK ENTA application is a web based component of the EPUK Gateway application and is the basis for the EPUK Gateway redesign. ENTA is used to manage NTCSS transactions and submit them to NALCOMIS by the United States Marine Corp. EPUK Gateway is an Angular 4 application that uses Microsoft ASP.NET MVC API on the back and SQL Server Enterprise 2016 for the application database. • Design and development of new features for the Optimal Strategix Marketing Positioning System (OSMPS). OSMPS is the internal software used by Optimal Strategix Group for analyzing market data and can ingest nearly any data format to produce real time graphical analysis of marketing data as well as simulations. OSMP is built upon Microsoft ASP.NET, SQL Server, Dundas Chart Components as well as many other software packages. The new features mentioned included graphical analysis of survey data using Net Provider Scores (NPS), various complex chart based analysis of product attribute importance along with asynchronous performance improvements of the data upload and processing system.• Design and implementation of a web based moderated discussion forum. This application is used to set up various moderated discussion forums in order to learn from end user feedback of customer products. Often these forums were targeted at participants outside of the United States so globalization and internationalization functionality was included. The application is implemented using Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4 and Entity Framework, a variety of jQuery plugins and frameworks, MVC Web API, JSON and Microsoft SQL Server. SignalR was used to implement real-time integration for an enhanced experience as well as to track participant usage. Error handling and logging was implemented using Elmah for robust tracking and notification.

• Installation, upgrade and setup of the DotNetNuke CMS application including full source code package. Creation and modification of custom DotNetNuke modules as well as modification to the DotNetNuke core.• Design and implementation of the Armed Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS. AFPIMS is a Content Management System (CMS) used to manage the content and media of a public website. This system is based around the use of the technologies provided by ASP.NET 3.5 including Dynamic Data, ASP.NET AJAX along with the AJAX Toolkit, LINQ and the Entity Framework using Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Telerik's ASP.NET Ajax Control Suite is used extensively throughout AFPIMS to provide rich front end functionality. The database used for this application is Microsoft SQL Server 2008. A unique feature of this application is its ability to be dynamically regenerated through a design tool termed the Application Management System or AMS. The AMS allows new Content Types as well as other data objects to be created without the need for a developer to write any code, make database changes, or implement user interface elements. The developer simply designs the data objects and then describes it so that everything from database interactivity to end user functionality can be generated by the AMS for them instantly.

• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application used to track SITE system equipment deployed on most Navy ships. SITE system equipment is used to broadcast television and other services aboard naval ships. The Equipment Tracking System (ETS) is a complex application that tracks each piece of equipment from when it is purchased to when it is disposed of. The application was implemented using ASP.NET 2.0, C#, ADO.NET 2.0, XHTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The ETS is a replacement for an obsolete application deployed on an IBM AS400 mainframe. In order to design the ETS, the old system had to be reverse engineered blind with no documentation or data dictionary. By working very closely with the customer, the functionality of the old system was replicated. New functionality was included to enhance usability along with a modern user interface and enhanced search/query/ reporting capabilities. The search/query/reporting functionality of the ETS is integrated with Excel so that reports can be downloaded and saved by the user as a spreadsheet. User and role-based permissions were also improved in the ETS.• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application named the AFRTS Files Database used to upload files and then allow discussion of those files for AFRTS. The AFRTS Files Database was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures and is based off an AutoCAD upload/discussion application. The application allows the users to upload, manage and approve user files/documents. The users can then discuss those files through a threaded message board. The AutoCAD upload/ discussion application had to be modified for AFRTS to allow any file type to be uploaded.

• Design and implementation of the prototype of a web based, data driven content management system (CMS) for the America Supports You website (http://www.americasupportsyou.mil). The prototype was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The CMS was designed to allow users to create and edit news articles with associated links, related articles and upload photos along with photo essays. The CMS also provided search and sorting functionality.• Design and implementation of an application that creates an XML/RSS feed of news articles from the Air Force’s public websites (http://www.af.mil). The application was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, XML and SQL Server with stored procedures and replaced a previous application that created a custom XML file of news articles. The application reads data from the Air Force’s news article database and creates an RSS document in order to allow other Air Force websites and the public to read the Air Force’s new articles in an RSS aggregator or through their own applications.• Implementation of various parts of the second generation of the Air Force’s public website’s (http://www.airforce.mil) content management system (CMS). The CMS was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The Air Force website’s CMS is a complicated application used to manage the content of the Air Force’s public website. The CMS has a complex functional set that includes user and group permissions, media uploads, versioning and approval, and the management of content for multiple web sites throughout the Air Force.

• Design and implementation of a web based application used to upload and bulk import photograph data into a SQL Server database using IPTC Meta data within image files for the Navy public web site (http://www.navy.mil). The application, called the Bulk Photo Processor was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures and was based on a successful application created for the Air Force’s public website. The application was built in two parts, the first provided single photo upload functionality where the user could upload a single image file and the application would read the IPTC Meta data out of the image, create a photo record in the database and then create hi-res, web and thumbnail image files for that photo and copy those files to the appropriate location on the web server. The second part of the application reads image files from a directory that many photos have been uploaded to using FTP. It reads the IPTC Meta data out of the image file and creates a photo record in the database. Finally it creates hi-res, web and thumbnail image files for each photo and copies those files to the appropriate location on the web server. Since the Navy’s public website’s content management system (CMS) was written using ASP and the Bulk Photo Processor was written in ASP.NET, there were separate user sessions for both applications. In order for a user to log into the CMS and be able to use the Bulk Photo Processor, a system for passing that session data between the ASP and ASP.NET applications had to be created. The application had to be modified from the Air Force version to match the Navy’s database and file system structure.

• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application named the AutoCAD Database used to upload AutoCAD drawings and then allow discussion of the drawings for the Army. The AutoCAD Database was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The application allows the users to upload, manage and approve AutoCAD drawings. The users can then discuss those drawings through a threaded message board. Three instances of this application were deployed for different groups.• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application named the VIA Database used to keep track of locations for the Visual Information Activities department of the Navy. The VIA Database was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The application keeps track of location and contact data for VIA.

• Design and implementation of a windows application used to harvest cable provider information based on zip code for use on the Pentagon Channel website (http://www.pentagonchannel.mil/). The windows application, implemented using VB.NET 1.1, ADO.NET. SQL Server with stored procedures and a purchased Access database of zip codes would read in a zip code from the Access database and using an internet browser control within the application, perform a form submit to a website with cable provider data for that zip code. The website would return an HTML page containing information about the cable providers servicing that zip code. The application would then parse that data into fields for submission to a SQL server database. Once started the application would run until all zip codes were processed creating a complete listing of cable providers by zip code. The data was then used on the Pentagon Channel website to provide users with information about their cable providers.• Design and implementation of an application that creates an XML file of news articles from the Air Force’s public websites (http://www.af.mil). The application was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, XML and SQL Server with stored procedures and based off of an application that was created for the Navy. The application reads data from the Air Force’s news article database and creates an XML document based on a provided format in order to allow other Air Force websites to read and display the articles as well. The application had to be modified from the Navy version to match the Air Force’s database structure and XML format.

• Design and implementation of a web based data driven content management system (CMS) and web based video player for managing and displaying videos on the Navy’s public website (http://www.navy.mil). The video player application was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. The CMS portion of the application allows the creation, management and categorization of video information in a SQL Server database along with the ability to upload a thumbnail photo and transcript files. The video player portion of the application reads data from the SQL Server database and creates a video player web page along with related videos. In order to make changes easy over time, the video player was designed to read a template file with custom XML tags that represent dynamic data. The video player application generates the video player web page with dynamic content based on that template. This allows the end users to modify the HTML template file to change the appearance of the video player without having to rewrite parts of the back end application.• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application named the Distribution Database used to keep track of cable providers that are to receive video copies of the Navy News for broadcast. The Distribution Database was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures and replaced an old FoxPro database. The application keeps track of the address, contacts, and video format for each cable provider along with managing the dates or date ranges that the cable provider is to receive the videos. The Distribution database also exports data in Excel format so that the appropriate mailing labels can be created for the video copies.

• Design and implementation of a web based data driven application named the Ships Database used to track Technical Assistance Report (TAR) forms. TARs are paper forms used by technicians when a repair or installation of SITE system equipment occurs on a Navy ship. SITE system equipment is used to broadcast television and other services aboard naval ships. The Ships Database was implemented using ASP.NET 1.1, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS and SQL Server with stored procedures. Through the Ships Database, TAR forms are created, approved and tracked. The Ships Database also provides advanced search/reporting functionality along with a role-based permission subsystem.• Design and implementation of a web based application used to gather and display information from ClipMail servers to their users. ClipMail servers are used to transfer video clips over computer networks and send status information and feedback through email. The application was built in two parts, the first was built as a Windows service written in VB.NET 1.1 using CDO to pull the emails out of the Clipmail mailbox on an exchange server. The emails were then parsed to pull out the important information that was then written to a SQL Server database using ADO.NET and stored procedures. The second part of the application was built as a web based data driven application written in ASP.NET 1.1, ADO.NET and SQL Server with stored procedures to display the ClipMail information in a user-friendly format. The application also provided advanced search and reporting functionality.• Provided emergency support and debugging expertise for the computer network and servers at the Naval Media Center in Washington, DC when needed.
