I am an experienced construction professional with a strong background in the project management, design and procurement of various building types. As a Design Manager I have been largely involved in the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Design and Construct (D&C) space. My previous experience as a project architect has provided a strong background for this position. My role encompasses the establishment of project scopes, the procurement and management of consultant teams, building design coordination, value engineering, risk management and stakeholder management. The role also provides vital design, quality and building compliance support to the site-based construction teams plus management of the shop drawing process. I have also had experience in the design and procurement of modular buildings, and foreign sourced construction materials, including facade and glazing systems. This has included R&D investigations in China, sourcing suitable suppliers and establishing procurement and QA procedures. In 2015 I completed an MBA at the University of WA. I had originally engaged in the process of further study with the intention of developing my business skills, adding further value to my capabilities as a professional. I view this study as a strong foundation for my ongoing career development and it provides me with a greater understanding of management and procurement in the construction business.
