Contributing to this collaboration is clear Board direction and counsel from our Executive Committee, Technical Advisory Committee, Citizens Advisory Committee, Complete Streets Advisory Committee, Local Coordinating Board for the Disadvantaged, and Freight Technical Advisory Committee. Together with our Member Governments we are delivering a diverse transportation system which includes over $300 million in bike and pedestrian projects that provide access to transit routes; TIGER grant award for complete streets providing access in environmental justice communities; Federal Highway Administration Grant creating integrated corridor management on our coastal interstate and the adjacent arterials; planning and construction of six mobility hubs that provide a safer connection between transit and other transportation modes in selected locations that encourage redevelopment enhancing the Member Governments tax base; quiet zones along the two heavy rail corridors which is a pubic private partnership between the MPO and a private higher speed passenger rail provider; spearhead a new depressed connector that will link the interstate, expressway and turnpike completing our express lane network; and incorporated climate change studies into criteria for the selection of transportation projects.
