Worked in the Nuclear Procurement Engineering Group as an Electrical Engineer

(In early spring of 2015, Bechtel Power became for Bechtel Nuclear, Security & Environmental, Inc.) I developed & reviewed nuclear plant systems' calculations, systems' descriptions, design criteria documents, problem evaluation reports, and related, historical documentation for compliance with the U.S. NRC regulator. Evaluated nuclear specifications and test procedures for accuracy of technical content for the Watts Bar Nuclear Unit 2 start-up activities.

Worked for Bartlett Nuclear, SUN Technical Services division on the TVA Watts Bar Unit 2 project. Reviewed technical specifications and wrote procedures to govern plant operations, instrument maintenance, and other activities.

Project Site Location: TVA Watts Bar Unit 2400 W. Summit Hill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37902-1401 Performed I&C design and assessments of the annunciator & monitoring systems for the main control room for the Watts Bar Unit 2 power plant, as well as FoxBoro I/A PLC systems designs interfacing the same. Performed supporting I&C construction activities for System 055 and other related systems.

(This company was Target Instruments before the summer of 2006, and later was acquired by FLIR inc.) R&D work (Software/Firmware development and test fixtures) designing embedded systems applications for personal radiation detection & isotope identification devices for Homeland Security applications.

Designed video convergence circuits implemented into large [CAD drafting] screen PTV products, and supported software development (Visual C++) relating to the same. Auxiliary Lead for the Electrical Department’s Quality Assurance activities. * Awarded “Most Valuable Team” Member for helping to launch low cost, HD PTV products at the Philips manufacturing plant in Suzhou, China.* Received company citation in 2003 for “heroic efforts” regarding performance relating to the Philips’ Digital Integrated HD television product development.* Received company citation in 2001 for successfully demonstrating the 1st prototype of the CineosTM product to the Philips North American CEO and company.* Developed an innovation to correct a design malfunction that also generated cost savings.
