Gregory Turley is a technology leader and innovator in Ireland. Over the past ten years, Greg developed and sold two companies in two industries at extraordinary multiples. Greg started with Argus Automobiles Ltd, a family car rental business established in 1959, where he grew the company multiple times and exited in 2007 – delivering a significant return for all of the shareholders. Meanwhile, Greg had recognised the potential of the internet and established the first car rental website in Europe, ArgusCarHire.com in 1995 and developed the first global car rental booking engine in 1999. Under Greg’s stewardship, ArgusCarHire.com became a global leader in the online retailing of car rental. Through this experience, Greg had the foresight to recognise a significant global opportunity in harnessing the resources of all the car rental companies across the globe. CarTrawler became the first company to provide a next generation car rental distribution system, which increased revenues for both its customers and suppliers. CarTrawler grew from strength to strength and its client base includes companies from every corner of the globe. The company offers the largest selection of car rental from over 800 car rental suppliers in 174 Countries in 30,000 city and airport locations, in 29 languages.In 2014 Greg sold out to BC Partners.
