Provides leadership, coaching, and development needs for the MID Pharmacy Optimization team. Ensure the MID Optimization team develops and maintains subject matter expertise in the MID business model, regulatory needs, technology, and business growth. Collaborates with peer Pharmacy Optimization and provider solutions teams to ensure scope of service, roles, and delivery of service is consistent. Supports development and roll-out of new products and customer adoption strategies. Oversees successful implementation of MID related programs. Assists with development and delivery of the long-term MID strategy. Leads definition and implementation of best practices for pharmacy/dispensary workflow, inventory, and formulary.Facilitates development of tools necessary for implementing best practices. Contributes to development of metrics and reporting for practice and McKesson business needs. Facilitates implementation of pharmacy/dispensary infrastructure, workflow, technology, and operations standards for new customers. Educates the practices-Shares information with practices to build their understanding of issues and capabilities; is regarded by the practice as the thought leader in this industry.

Greg is responsible for establishing a plan of operational excellence across medically integrated pharmacies and dispensaries. He collaborates with the customers' pharmacy and management staff, the internal McKesson In Office Dispensing team, as well as supporting business functions (i.e. revenue cycle, purchasing, clinical, and GPO), to ensure we are meeting the evolving needs of his customers.Key Responsibilities:-Optimize In Office Dispensing programs of customers for efficiency and profitability.-Assist with defining and implementing best practices for workflow, inventory, and formulary. -Develop the tools necessary for implementing best practices and deploy to accounts.-Build standard reporting package(s) and analytics for running of the pharmacy business.-Support roll-out and practice adoption of strategic initiatives and new product development through data analysis.-Provide Quarterly Business reviews to customers around their IOD business.-Assist with clinical questions as needed.

As Sr Director of Pharmacy Operations Greg is responsible for providing oversight, leadership, and mentoring for all pharmacy personnel. Other duties include, but are not limited to:-Driving corporate initiatives within specialty pharmacy services-Assisting in business development opportunities including RFP responses/presentations and quarterly business reviews-Consultation and collaboration with practitioners in the field and assist field based and inside sales teams with outreach when necessary-Compliance with federal and state boards of pharmacy statutes and regulations-Staying abreast of pharmacy issues/legislation and implementing changes when necessary-Manage budget for specialty pharmacy services and allocate resources accordingly-Attend relevant industry conferences and report topics discussed at staff and leadership team meetings-Oversee operations for commercial, consigned (PAP/QuickStart), and clinical trial dispensing.-Participate in advisory boards and panels/forums when requested (including: URAC, Ariad Pharmaceuticals, and AMCP)-Provide leadership and support for Biologics’ McKesson integration as well as future mergers & acquisition activity-Drive operational efficiencies while minimizing error rates and meeting internal and external key performance indicators-Collaborate with quality assurance to obtain URAC and ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditations

Responsible for compliance with federal and state boards of pharmacy regulations. Work with team members to encourage career development activities. Maintain licensure in all required states in order to maintain status as the pharmacist in charge for Biologics, Inc.

Responsible for leading team focused on providing care for patients with breast cancer, melanoma, colon cancer, CLL, CML, MDS, and multiple myeloma. Manage all members of the patient care team through evaluation of work output, assignment of duties, communication, and teamwork.

Responsible for the management and oversight of the medication therapy management pharmacy service areas to ensure medication regimens are aligned with clinical guidelines and standards of care. This includes the pharmacist clinical review process for medication regimens and ensuring that clinical reviews are completed in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Responsible for developing, monitoring, evaluating, and implementing quality medication therapy management initiatives. Provide leadership and support for all aspects of medication therapy management services both strategically and on a day-to-day basis. Supervise and train clinical services staff including MTM clinical staff pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians.

Perform monthly clinical regimen reviews for patients with complex drug regimens. Provide medication therapy management and disease state management services. Communicate with patients, providers, and payers when applicable to effectively optimize prescription drug regimens and therapeutic outcomes and reduce healthcare costs while minimizing delay or lack of therapy. This includes providing information related to medication counseling, prescription coverage, therapy alternatives, therapy standards of care, and preventative care measures. Assess incoming new patients medication orders to ensure appropriate transition of services. This includes medication reconciliation, attempting to resolve clinical issues, enhance patient understanding and coordination of services, and facilitate on-boarding process in a timely manner to avoid delays in start of services.
