How will you #PledgeToDoGood today?At Pledgeling, I have implemented the accounting platform, established the closing process, and automated posting of Stripe transactions with Zapier; moved from a costly PEO to in-house payroll and benefits, including health and 401k, using Gusto; set up and trained sales staff on the CRMs Salesforce and Freshworks; and built out customer support function and tools, including partnering with an offshore support team. I created and maintain the evolving financial model we use both internally and for fundraising, and worked extensively on the financial sections of our fundraising materials. I created and maintain our KPIs. I worked with Sales, Marketing, and Product on multiple product plans. I manage outside counsel on litigation, IP, and corporate matters, including a recapitalization and conversion from a LLC to a c-corp. I selected and work with our outside CPA firm for both tax and audit. I evaluated and implemented our cap table management service, including periodic board and major investor reporting, and have worked with outside providers to multiple 409a reports. I oversee HR and recruiting with the help of Workable and other tools, and have set up the internal companywide knowledgebase.

Our industry-specific site and iOS app helps tours and events staff up with qualified professionals.My responsibilities included overall planning, implementation, and management of product development and engineering (including an eight person team in Mumbai), marketing, job inventory, finance and accounting, customer service, network operations, and business operations. I did this starting at the product concept stage and through launch to the operating business.

Oversaw finance, accounting, reporting, HR, legal issues, and admin, and worked extensively on operations and general management issues as Mogreet grew from under 10 to over 30 people and through to its acquisition by Mobile Messenger / Payvia (now mGage). At the time I started, accounting was an Excel check register and the only other system was phone-it-in payroll. I interacted extensively with product, customer service, sales, marketing, and engineering groups to improve the company's products and improve internal operations. The co-founders and I collaborated extensively as we obtained multiple rounds of financing.Mogreet helped brands deliver videos, images and text messages to their customers' mobile devices. Its SMS and MMS messaging platform enabled any type of content, message, advertisement or coupon to be delivered to every mobile consumer regardless of carrier, handset or region. From single marketing campaigns (i.e. sweepstakes, polls, trivia, etc.) to mobile alerts to mobile CRM, Mogreet's platform enabled businesses of all sizes to communicate with their customers on mobile devices. Founded in 2006, Mogreet was financed by the Draper Fisher Jurvetson Frontier Fund, Ascend Ventures, Black Diamond Ventures, Spyglass Ventures, and others.

Co-founded the one-time leading online resource for midlife issues, LifeTwo.com. Wrote extensive content while constantly optimizing the site, working with outside contributors, and implementing new revenue sources.

Assisted numerous startups with developing their business and financial models, business plan development, online marketing and website buildout using Drupal.

After six months working as an on-the-road analyst for Sealy's corporate office in Cleveland, I took a product management job at their Southern California specialty operations. This involved integrating two recent acquisitions' design, marketing, and manufacturing at three Southern California and two Baja California locations. Other projects included leading a multi-million dollar inventory reduction initiative and long-term involvement in the conversion of multiple company databases to a single minicomputer-based information system.
