Looking after all operational works for Stony Plain. Chairman of NAIG. Director of the Parkland Water Commission. Alberta Public Works board of directors member.

I was responsible for being the company’s representative and ensuring that the Contractor fulfilled its duties and responsibilities onsite. This project involved for myself;• Ensuring Concrete was constructed to design specifications• Ensuring Earthworks was done to specifications and proper use of machinery was implemented• Sign off on all construction and drawings as approved by the client• Mitigate potential problems with contractor interface and schedule delays• Review all costs and budget for scope of works.• Enforce safety procedures, do weekly audits on work areas for hazard identification and risk analysis.• Scheduling and planning work for contractor resources• In the field design modifications when drawings do not match up with site conditions.• Excellent communication between the contractors needs to complete the job and ensuring that the mine helped them as much as we could to ensure productivity levels were at a consistently high level.• Liaise with steel workers, electrical and process piping contractors to ensure what we are providing will be ample for the following works onsite.• Quantity Surveying works and correlating with document control department.• Commissioning of Phase 1, 2.4 Billion dollar Iron Ore Project.• Direct supervision of 220 million dollar concrete and earthworks contract.• Construction of 34m Retained Earth Wall for the primary crusher.• Construction of concrete vault with 2 corrugated steel tunnels with select fill and mine waste backfill for magnetite stockpile. • Oversee Construction and give technical engineering advice of tailings storage facility ramp, 1,000,500 cubic meters of rock for BIS conveyor ramp to a height of 25 above existing ground.• Ground disturbance of borrow pits and rehab for excavation of select fill.• Electrical substation concrete works involving plinths, keyways, precast panel erection, grout and finishing works.

In this project I worked directly under the company owner and director for CTB Contracting. I managed a team of 3 site supervisors and 3 administration staff on this project. In 2 months we increased the company from 40 people working 5 days a week to 140 people working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at a remote location in Australia. The Contract was for the Phase 2 wall lift of the Tailings Storage Facility which involved increasing the wall height from 53m to 59m high and moving 900,000 cubic meters of rock. The Project consisted of both Lump Sum and Schedule of Rates Payments finalizing just over 13 million dollars. The project had a tight deadline, and was also accomplished at one of the highest regulated mines in the world. This project involved for myself;• Management of large numbers of people and heavy machinery.• Load Tracking of over 900 dump truck loads daily.• Management of 10 Excavators from 120t-30t, consisting of moving bulk rock with Komatsu PC 1250 and 850’s, a Hitachi 600 and a Liebher 974. Also final trim batter pulling with 30t excavators ranging in brands from Caterpillar to JCB.• Management of 25 articulated 40t Moxy Dump Trucks. Included were Caterpillar, Bell, Hitachi and Terex. These were leased from 4 different companies so constant communication and coordination with the Lessor’s was involved for major repairs, breakdowns, and transporting to and from site.• Other heavy machinery that was involved on site were 3 Hino Service Trucks, 3 Graders (12-16H), 3 Water Carts, 2 Loaders, 5 Dozers (D7-D10) and 3 rollers (smooth and flat drum)• Tendering and estimating.• Machine rental inventory and contracts, finance management.• Involved in company management, contract proposals, budgeting.• Contract close out, financial budgeting.• Long term planning, company day to day operations, scheduling.• Contracting litigation and legal proceedings and cases.• Company development, hiring and organization of labor resources.

• Daily inspection of residential road removal and replacement.• Managing of deadlines, budgets, timelines and safety.• Quantity measurement of concrete, sub base, asphalt, landscaping.• Weekly reporting of project to the city representatives.• Supervision of proper construction practices for roads and concrete.• Accurate reporting, and efficient scheduler for project• Able to see possible problems before they occur in construction and effectively make changes to drawings in the field for efficient construction.• Site safety, Daily diary and documentation, measurement for contractor payment, Quality assurance.• Material testing, review of gravel and sub base operation, drainage issue inspection, proper barricading and safety procedures for traffic controlling.

• Outline plans and Marketing Drawings for sales of homes and lots.• Organization of survey crew, electrical drawings, and all subcontracted engineering drawings. • Designing new concepts and plans for more subdivisions in order to save money on constructions costs and have higher appeal to the buyer.• Road and lot planner, sizing legal plans, dirt balancing.• Worked on subdivisions all over the province so had to be able to adapt quickly to different town guidelines and engineering standards depending upon where our subdivision was located.

• Did the detailed design drawings for two 500 lot subdivisions, which included plan and profile drawings for grading, water design, sanitary sewer design, storm water design, flood plans, road plans, lot and grading plans.• Outline plans, Marketing Maps, Autocad Expert. • Worked 8 months as 1 of the 5 Functional Planners for a 300 million dollar ring road around the city of Red Deer Alberta, that included reports, scheduling, drawings, preliminary figures, detailed overpasses, lane cross sections designs, travel speeds and road capacity studies, public meetings.
