www.AppSolve.ITAfter a slight detour into the world of BIM, architecture and contracting for 8 years, I decided to return to my love of technology with more insights, ideas and understanding of the problems and difficulties people have with using computers, software, technology and gadgets to increase efficiency and productivity.I've learned so much from my last three jobs that I wanted to return to my roots of computer consulting and training to help others learn how to master their software and lose the fear of feeling "computer illiterate".I've spent the last 30 years teaching hundreds and hundreds of people how to interact with their computers. I'm fascinated with all of the different learning styles and the thousands of ways to use and misuse every program and app out there. I have a passion for being creative with technology to work faster and easier and let the computer do the computing it's supposed to.I call what I do TI instead of IT. It's the "Technology of Information" that absolutely fascinates me. Between wifi and 4G, i'm amazed at how we can pull information out of thin air no matter where we are or what we're doing. What's more important is being able to quickly find the information you're looking for. I"m not talking about Googling something, but the frustration of looking for a file that could be on your server, desktop, inbox, thumb drive, cloud, iPhone or which computer/device you think you last saved that file on. We have so much information bombarding us on a daily basis that technology actually slows down most people instead of helping them work more efficiently. I've found a number of tools that can help you with email, note taking, document management, collaboration, remote access, web macros and data extraction, cloud storage, time sheet entries, COBie and Excel/Google Sheets.
